Congratulations to Northern Irish 2.0 Hot Rod star 70 Shane Murray who blitzed the opposition to take the West Park Contracting Championship of the World at Foxhall Stadium's Spedeweekend on Saturday night!

Shane took 6th place in both his qualifying heats to earn himself pole position for the main race, and he never looked like giving that place up as he stormed to victory ahead of fellow Northern Irishman 54 Adam Hylands, 43 Paul Wright and 60 Mark Paffey.

Defending champion 103 Frans Joubert came over all the way from South Africa to race a Spedeworth Fabrications supplied car but it wasn't to be for him.

Shane topped his earlier performance in the revenge race, when from the back of a reverse grid he came all the way through to win again!
