On Saturday 5th April 2025 the ‘Back To Basic’ Bangers return to Northampton International Shaleway to compete in the first qualifier towards this years Man of the Midlands Championship once again gratefully sponsored by Gamble Motorsport.

So how will this work?

In 2025 there will be four qualifying meetings:-
• Saturday 5th April – Northampton International Shaleway
• Sunday 26th May – Hednesford Hills Raceway
• Sunday 15th June – Hednesford Hill Raceway
• Sunday 27th September – Northampton International Shaleway

At each of the above meetings drivers who have booked-in before 5pm on the Thursday prior to the date of the event, arrive and race will automatically receive 10 attendance points.
Each race of the day will then be scored 5 down to 1 per result from 1st place to 5th plus an additional 5 points per race for each driver who takes the green flag and races competitively (Stewards discretion is final). e.g race 3 races but do not come in the top 10 can result in 25 points being scored including attendance points. Destruction Derbies do not count towards the points total.

The Man of the Midlands Championship main event takes place at Hednesford Hills Raceway on Sunday 2nd November.
No attendance points will be awarded for this event. However, a last chance race will be run with the points available 10 down to 1 for the 1st 10 finishers.
The Man of the Midlands Championship race will be gridded based on overall qualifying points with the top 40 drivers being eligible for the race itself plus 2 drivers from the last chance race. In the event of a draw on points an out of the hat draw will determine final grid positions for drivers on equal points only.
